Cape Learning Foundation is a registered NPO with Department of Social Development, community-based project in Western Cape. Our key focus area is vocational skills training, business skills training, mentorship and small business development for the unemployed people, especially youth with in the Western Cape and surrounding areas.
Unemployment continues to be the fundamental crisis in South Africa and Cape Learning Foundation therefore exists to increase the employment opportunities of disadvantaged communities with-in the Western Cape.
In a Western Cape context, there are numerous challenges still predominant in most of its disadvantage communities such as Cape Flats, Winelands and Rural Townships and communities around the Western Cape. This is because the desire and zeal to conquer and be number one has unfortunately not been matched with opportunities and facilities to nurture their skills and talents. It is in this context that the Board of the Cape Learning Foundation have created the Education on Wheels in pursuing its zeal to transform the lives of the budding Western Cape communities. This project proposal is submitted for funding and sponsorship.
